The Aletheia Studio emblem is composed of three elements, each carrying centuries of meaning.

The acacia sprigs form the triangle — three branches arranged into the first stable form, the triad from which all structure emerges. In Freemasonry, the acacia is the most sacred of symbols: it is the sprig placed upon the grave of Hiram Abiff, the master builder, marking the place of burial and the promise of resurrection. The acacia does not decay. It is the emblem of the immortal soul — of that which survives the death of the uninitiated self and emerges on the other side of the trial, unchanged in essence but transformed in understanding.

The radiating sun at the center is the flow of light and knowledge — the Masonic symbol of the Great Architect's illumination, the light that does not create what it reveals but simply makes it seeable. In Platonic tradition, the sun is the Form of the Good itself — the source from which all truth, all beauty, and all being flow. To face the sun is to face the source.

The triangle is the triad — in Pythagorean and Neoplatonic tradition, the first number that produces a stable form. It is the emblem of the soul that has found its ground: the unity of thought, will, and action; the synthesis of thesis and antithesis; the third thing that emerges when two truths are held together long enough.

This is not a logo. It is a seal. The mark of a studio built on the conviction that truth — aletheia — is not constructed. It is unconcealed. And the work of the examined life is simply to remove what obscures it.
